Music Spotlight: Richard Green With Jazz and Blues inspired Instrumental "A Lesson"

A beautiful instrumental from an extremely talented composer with a bright future in the industry.

Italian musician and composer Richard Green moved to London in 2012 where he studied and obtained a musicians degree and higher diploma as a guitarist. He describes his music as "a journey" and has built up an impressive discography featuring different sounds and musical styles since he released his debut single "Dark Horses" in 2020.

"A Lesson" begins with a jazzy progression of guitar chords accompanied by a simple drum beat and a wind section. A violin joins the soundscape and instantly leads the song with its unique melody that follows the guitar ostinato. This instrumental is extremely interesting to listen to and keeps your ear entertained throughout. Towards the end, the bass guitar is briefly given the spotlight as it utilises slap techniques to change up the sound of the song. This is swiftly followed by a melodic guitar solo before the opening violin melody returns to bring the piece to a close
