Its safe to say the club would go crazy if this tune came on at 3am!
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Denise Marsa moved to New York in the 1970s and formed a band. After performing in a club she was approached by Dean Friedman who invited her to sing on his next album. They duetted "Lucky Stars" which hit number 3 on the UK singles Chart in 1978.
"Kiss Me In The Rain" is Denise's latest release, and begins with a suspenseful opening of synths and the soft gravelly sound of her voice that builds tension until the drums drive the song into a new direction. The dark harmonies used throughout this song give it the feeling of old school club favourites and it is easy to see this track being extremely popular in clubs both today and back in the 70s and 80s. Timeless isn't a word to be used lightly in the music industry, but songs like this could just hit that brief.
